Danish Gambling Market Welcomes Wazdan and Hacksaw Gaming

Hacksaw Gaming and Wazdan receive licensing from Spillemyndigheden to operate legally in the Danish gambling market.

For some, the year had a slow start, whereas others have hit the ground running and continue to get the race started in 2025.

Operators like Wazdan and Hacksaw Gaming show no signs of slowing down as they expand their brands globally. The latest developments for both Wazdan and Hacksaw include gaining entrance into the Danish online gambling market.

Wazdan continues global expansion

Wazdan had quite a busy year in 2024, and securing the Danish license is another milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion efforts.

The provider announced at the end of December 2024 that it had been successfully licensed by the Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden. This allows the game creator to offer its portfolio of games to operators in Denmark and reach a new audience.

Throughout 2024, Wazdan's games found their way into several new markets by expanding into the Czech Republic, Italy, and Pennsylvania.

A spokesperson at Wazdan stated that they emphasise cooperating with the largest casino licensors to provide secure, transparent, and rewarding partnerships to operators worldwide.

It’s one expansion after the other for this game creator. In September 2024, they launched in Pennsylvania through a partnership with Rush Street Interactive (RSI). Before that, they entered the Italian gambling market.

Hacksaw Gaming secured a Danish license

Hacksaw Gaming secured approval from Spillemyndigheden, and its new licensing took effect on 1 January 2025. With this latest development, Hacksaw can legally offer its portfolio of games to Danish players. This marks another successful step forward for the company's ongoing expansion efforts.

It’s quite a milestone, considering the company received its second regulatory approval in three months.

Hacksaw Gaming CEO Marcus Cordes says that this is another incredible achievement for their teams and that they are absolutely thrilled to continue showing Danish players all the excitement and innovation found in Hacksaw's portfolio.

This is all part of Hacksaw’s efforts to see broader expansion and the latest in European developments for companies. Earlier in 2024, the provider partnered with Scommettendo and Newgioco to increase its reach and exposure in the Italian market.

Before that, they sealed the deal with Portuguese partners Betclic and Solverde.pt. They also partnered with Alphawin in Bulgaria to increase their presence in the country.

What to expect in 2025

Both software providers are keeping players and competitors on their toes as they run full steam ahead towards more innovation, growth and expansion in 2025.

Hacksaw Gaming will continue to expand and establish a strong presence in existing markets, such as the American one. Furthermore, their focus stays on creating engaging and innovative games while collaborating with leading online casinos to increase their visibility and reach a broader audience.

Wazdan plans to showcase its latest games and innovations at ICE Barcelona 2025, including its Online Gaining™ philosophy. As well as network promotions such as the Mystery Drop™ featuring a prize pool of €6,000,000. A range of new game releases is planned for 2025, which include innovative features like Hold the Jackpot and Mystery Jaguar Multiplier.
