During the Lock-it-Link round, the reels spin as individual mini reels, and only red or blue hearts will appear. When a heart lands, it is locked in place and given a random multiplier value. Every time a group of three hearts land vertically or horizontally, they lock together and transform into gold ones.

Every group of red hearts causes the re-spin counter to be reset to 3, while blue hearts cause the re-spin counter to be reset to 4.
