As our readers, you’re probably aware of CasinoWow’s main goals. Sure, we’re working hard at providing detailed and unbiased casino reviews and news. But that’s not all we do. We are committed to making gambling safer and helping you be more informed!

That’s why we are incredibly proud to announce our latest endeavour. BET ON CHANGE is a short documentary film that explores problem gambling, but with hope and inspiration!

This project has been months in the making with massive efforts from our team. Together, we’ve poured our hearts into creating something that is much bigger than entertainment.

In the film, we got the chance to discover all points of view of problem gambling and spoke with a casino representative from PlayOJO Casino, a psychologist, Iva-Maria Deneva, a gambling recovered addict, and a few gambling addicts still in the process of recovering.

We wanted to create a campaign that raises awareness and helps people recognise the dangers of gambling addiction while showing that recovery is absolutely within reach when you have the right help (and you do have it).

A film with a purpose

Gambling is thrilling, and this is part of what makes it so popular. It's now even more accessible than ever, as there are busy land-based casinos and then there is the convenience of online betting.

The global gambling market is worth over $580 billion in 2024 alone and there's no stopping it. This surely opens up countless possibilities for excitement. But we also can't deny its darker side.

Problem gambling affects around 2% of adults worldwide. That's why we decided to explore the different aspects of this important topic.

We were driven by our goal to help people understand the risks of gambling and to provide them with the resources they need to play responsibly.

After all, as one of the most trusted sources for gaming information, we believe it's our duty and main purpose to make sure that you can make educated decisions, especially when they involve betting your hard-earned money.

We worked closely with different specialists, like psychologists specialising in addiction and casino owners who talk about the latest measures taken to protect players. We also wanted to give a voice to people who’ve overcome addiction.

We felt it was really important to hear from those who’ve walked through the darkest parts. That way, through their strength and honesty, we are reminded that change is always possible, despite how hard it may seem sometimes.

A message of hope

We know that gambling can be fun. It doesn’t have to be a problem, but can easily become a big one if one is not careful enough.

That’s why this film is so important to us (and, we feel, to our community). We made it about awareness and education, and hope above all else.

If you or someone you know is struggling, just know that you’re not alone. There’s help available and recovery is possible. We at CasinoWow believe that by understanding the risks and having the right support, gambling can remain what it is and was meant to be all along, namely an enjoyable activity.
