The result is a game that stays true to the fast-paced, anticipation-driven nature of the series while offering a fresh gameplay dynamic through features such as the dedicated main reel, Magic Coin functionality and the all-new Ox Bonus round.

CW: The game uses Asian-inspired visuals built around strength and prosperity. How did this theme shape the overall player experience?

OO: The theme plays a major role in shaping the atmosphere and pacing of the game. Ox Coin™ draws inspiration from Asian culture and symbolism associated with strength, prosperity and perseverance, with the ox character reinforcing those qualities throughout the experience. Visually, the rich colour palette and premium presentation create a strong sense of progression and reward, while the theme itself complements the game’s bonus-focused structure by giving each feature and mechanic a greater sense of importance and momentum.

CW: Ox Coin™ introduces a distinctive layout with one main reel and a unique grid structure. What makes this format different from a standard slot setup?

OO: Instead of using a traditional reel configuration, Ox Coin™ is built around one central main reel surrounded by 16 mini reels, creating a layout that immediately stands out from standard slot gameplay. The main reel is reserved exclusively for key feature symbols such as Extra Life, Ox Bonus and Cash Out symbols, meaning those mechanics become much more visible and easier for players to follow. They can land exclusively on the four corner reels and, once triggered, activate three corresponding mini reels in a clockwise direction, unlocking further winning opportunities. Mechanically, they help create more interactive gameplay because every activation has the potential to expand the grid and build towards stronger outcomes. From a player perspective, they also increase anticipation by making each relevant symbol feel more impactful as the game develops.

CW: The game also includes Extra Lives, giving players up to three additional spins in the bonus round. How does this feature affect anticipation during gameplay?

OO: The Extra Lives feature significantly extends the tension and unpredictability of the Ox Bonus round. During the feature, all new symbols stick in place across three respins on a 25-reel grid, but players also have the opportunity to collect up to three Extra Lives during the base game beforehand.
