A Premier Experience: Roobet x Chelsea FC Stadium Tour at Stamford Bridge

Recently, a representative of our team had the pleasure of joining a unique tour at Stamford Bridge Stadium, home of Chelsea FC, organised by Roobet Casino, Chelsea FC’s official regional betting partner for Latin America and Canada.

The event gathered around 15 affiliate partners from across the globe, including us at CasinoWow. Everyone was united by passion for iGaming and shared appreciation for the opportunity to go behind the scenes of one of the most iconic stadiums.

A tour full of stories, history, and passion

The tour was led by guides who had knowledge beyond the expectations and also presented interesting facts lightly, with humour. From walking through the players’ entrance and seeing ourselves on the big screen (just like the professionals do on match day), to standing in the press room and exploring both the home and guest changing rooms, every moment was a chance to see the magic from a new perspective.

The stadium itself was very impressive, but the experience took another level when we got to hear true stories about everything - from design elements of the pitch to stories about legendary players like Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (who we were lucky enough to meet in person).

From VIP Boxes to family-friendly stands

We did not visit the VIP glass boxes, but we were lucky to get some interesting info about them. The VIP glass boxes cost £1.2 million per season, and you need to commit for 10 years. Once you have a box, you can use it anytime, not only for games (i.e, for meetings).

The stadium's grass was planted two weeks ago, but it was unfortunately not allowed to go on the pitch. It is 95% real grass and 5% artificial. The grass/pitch is raised in the middle, so floods can be avoided.

We also visited the stands/rows which are family-friendly, which are more peaceful than the other areas. These seats are also cheaper compared to the others (you can get a seat for £15). They are next to the VIP seats area and the press area. “If you have a child with you it is a great way to enjoy the game. In fact, at the back we have some PS5 machines, when the kids get a bit bored of watching, they go to play.”

The seats next to the family area, but not in the family area, can go for 3000 to 12,000 per seat. Because they are just next to VIP, press - in the centre of the stadium, which is best to watch.

Meeting a legend: Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink

A major highlight was the surprise meeting with Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Friendly, down-to-earth, and full of stories, he offered a glimpse into his football journey, including memorable goals, tough opponents, and how his time at Chelsea came to an end. Hearing directly from a player who has helped shape the club's history added a personal and inspiring layer to the tour.

In the Q&A with us, he shared that the Stadium and its atmosphere are very special, although it's a bit different from back in the day. He shared his appreciation to the players he used to play with, to the club, London itself, but most of all, the fans that supported Jimmy and Chelsea and still do to this day.

Beyond football: A memorable experience for all

Even for those who aren’t die-hard football fans, the Stamford Bridge tour proved to be a genuinely enriching experience.

The guides and other people working there were all very friendly, easy-going and professional, and you could see that they’ve seen a lot happening, they know the history and facts of the club and that they are very passionate about the club and what they do. Players and managers are changing constantly, but these people are always there, and they’ve seen a lot and know the place.
